Prestigious concerts and events in the patrician homes and palaces of Latium and Rome

On Tuesday, November 16, the impressive scenic setting of Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, one of the most beautiful Renaissance residences in Europe less than an hour from the center of Rome, will host the inauguration of DOMUS ARTIUM, a prestigious cycle of cultural events, focused on classical music, which will involve urban and extra-urban patrician homes.

The residences, opened by the owner families, will be the setting for an unusual and highly qualified series of chamber music concerts with internationally renowned soloists who will perform outside the usual venues. This series starts with some dates already scheduled but is destined to grow and multiply the events. Beyond the musical performance, the concerts, opened to the public with tickets, will be an opportunity to admire the magnificence of artistic spaces not always easily accessible.

Following each event, there will be convivial moments, curated by the histrionic gastronomic and cultural animator and talent scout Andrea Petrini (creator of Gelinaz!), whose protagonists will be well-known Italian and international chefs who will sign taste experiences each time different. Together with the partner orchestra of Archi di Santa Cecilia conducted by Luigi Piovano (principal cello of the Orchestra di Santa Cecilia), Domus Artium will unites musicians with artists, dancers, chefs, curators, thinkers to collaborate with patrons of the arts in Rome in a series of events and performances in their own homes and palaces. Wissman, who on the evening of November 16th will welcome guests and artists together with the hostess Maria Pace Odescalchi, has always been a promoter, as President of IMG Artists, of great musical events in the world, brings to Domus Artium a long experience in the promotion of the arts conducted together with the Fondazione del Sole and already widely tested with the Tuscan Sun Festival in Cortona.

The opening evening at 7 p.m. will see Nina Kotova and Jean-Yves Thibaudet "making music" together in solo and duo performances. Born in Russia into a family of musicians and scientists, Nina Kotova, who made her debut as a soloist at Carnegie Hall with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra in 1999, captured the attention of the public and critics in Cortona in the early 2000s with the Tuscan Sun Festival, the great classical event that for ten years has occupied the cultural and social news as one of the most important festivals in Europe.

To follow the date of Saturday, January 15, 2022 with the second location that will be the Ruspoli Castle of Vignanello (VT), medieval castle with inside one of the most important and exclusive Renaissance gardens and a parterre of rare beauty. To welcome the artists and the public there will be Claudia Ruspoli.

On stage the superstar violinist Hilary Hahn and pianist Andreas Haefliger who will play together for a program of Beethoven sonatas for violin and piano.

Third location on Saturday, February 5, 2022 Palazzo Doria Pamphilj hosted by Jonathan Doria Pamphilj with Italian bass-baritone Luca Pisaroni, who has established himself as one of the most charismatic and versatile singers performing today; the program will be a rare recital of his favorite arias.

On Saturday, March 12, 2022 Flavio Chigi will open the still almost secret Villa Chigi Sacchetti in the Pineta of Castel Fusano, a seventeenth-century jewel in a landscape of rare beauty a few kilometers from Rome. On stage a true world legend of classical guitar Angel Romero, an amazing career and one of the finest musicians.

In una delle più belle dimore rinascimentali d'Europa, all'interno di una cornice di grande impatto scenografico, martedì 16 novembre prende avvio all'interno del Castello Odescalchi di Bracciano, a poco meno di un'ora dal centro di Roma, DOMUS ARTIUM, un prestigioso circuito di eventi culturali, concentrati sulla musica classica, che vedrà coinvolte dimore patrizie urbane ed extraurbane.

Le residenze, aperte dalle stesse famiglie proprietarie, saranno cornice di una inusuale e altamente qualificata rassegna diffusa di concerti di musica da camera con solisti di fama internazionale che si esibiranno fuori dai circuiti deputati. Una rassegna che prende avvio con alcune date già programmate ma è destinata a crescere e moltiplicare gli appuntamenti. Appuntamenti aperti al pubblico con bigliettazione e che oltre la performance musicale costituiscono occasione per ammirare lo splendore di ambienti e architetture non sempre facilmente accessibili.

A seguire ogni appuntamento, momenti conviviali, curati da Andrea Petrini, istrionico e dissacrante animatore gastro culturale (ideatore di Gelinaz!) e talent scout, che vedranno la presenza di noti chef del panorama nazionale e non solo che firmeranno esperienze del gusto ogni volta diverse. Domus Artium, che ha individuato come orchestra partner gli Archi di Santa Cecilia diretta da Luigi Piovano, primo violoncello dell'Orchestra di Santa Cecilia, riunisce musicisti, artisti, danzatori, chef, curatori, pensatori per collaborare con mecenati d'arte a Roma a una serie di eventi e spettacoli nelle loro stesse dimore e palazzi, ricreando così quella secolare tradizione delle famiglie nobili che hanno sempre ospitato la cultura nelle loro case sotto forma di concerti, arte e momenti conviviali. Così come dando ospitalità e protezione agli artisti, come nel caso del Castello Ruspoli di Vignanello che accolse più volte e per lungo tempo Georg Friedrich Händel.

La serata inaugurale alle ore 19.00 vedrà "far musica" insieme Nina Kotova e Jean-Yves Thibaudet in esecuzioni solo e in duo. Il 16 novembre, ad un mese dall'uscita del suo nuovo album con Warner Classics registrato col leggendario pianista José Feghali e il primo NFT fatto insieme all'artista multimediale Sibylle Szaggars Redford, Nina Kotova torna in Italia, sulla scena capitolina, come solista ma anche nel nuovo ruolo di direttore artistico di DOMUS ARTIUM di cui curerà la programmazione.

In una veste eccezionalmente quasi "privata", il giorno dopo l'esibizione all'Auditorium, la sera del 16 novembre, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, pianista di fama internazionale che per più di trent’anni si è esibito in tutto il mondo e ha registrato più di 50 album, regalerà una performance di straordinaria unicità. Profondità e carisma naturale lo hanno reso uno dei solisti più ricercati da festival e orchestre internazionali. Considerato uno dei migliori pianisti al mondo, coniuga una sensibilità musicale poetica con una stupefacente abilità tecnica. "... ogni nota che egli cesella è una perla ..." hanno scritto di lui.

In programma opere di Frescobaldi, Shostakovich, Debussy e Schumann. A seguire, ad oggi, l'appuntamento di sabato 15 gennaio 2022 con la seconda location che sarà il Castello Ruspoli di Vignanello (VT), castello medievale con al suo interno uno dei giardini rinascimentali più importanti ed esclusivi e un parterre di rara bellezza. Ad accogliere gli artisti e il pubblico Claudia Ruspoli.

In scena la violinista superstar Hilary Hahn e il pianista Andreas Haefliger insieme per un programma di sonate di Beethoven per violino e pianoforte.

Terza location sabato 5 febbraio 2022 Palazzo Doria Pamphilj ospiti di Jonathan Doria Pamphilj. Protagonista il basso-baritono italiano Luca Pisaroni, affermatosi come uno dei cantanti più carismatici e versatili che si esibiscono oggi; in programma un raro recital delle sue arie preferite.

Il sabato 12 marzo 2022 Flavio Chigi aprirà l'ancora quasi segreta Villa Chigi Sacchetti nella Pineta di Castel Fusano, gioiello seicentesco in un contesto paesaggistico di rara suggestione a pochi chilometri da Roma. In scena una vera leggenda mondiale della chitarra classica Angel Romero, una carriera stupefacente e uno dei musicisti più ricercati.
